With over 35 years of experience in the film, print, and television industries, Brenda Sotolongo is a highly respected professional hair and makeup artist known for her versatility, precision and calm presence on set. Trained at the prestigious Wilfrid Academy in New York City, Brenda studied fashion, television and print makeup, with specialized training in prosthetic and special effects makeup, including gore and dermatological conditions. Her formal education also includes an esthetician’s license from Honors Beauty Academy and a cosmetology license from Rogers Beauty Academy.
Brenda has worked across a wide spectrum of projects, including live broadcast events, commercial campaigns, theatrical productions, and high-profile appearances. Her portfolio includes work on the NBA and NFL Playoffs, Super Bowls, Final Four, and major college basketball tournaments. Commercial credits include campaigns for Nike, Gatorade, Reebok, DirecTV, and various hospital, pharmaceutical, and political clients - including presidential candidates.
In the realm of theater, Brenda’s talents have contributed to iconic Broadway productions such as The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, The Lion King, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, among many others.
